To get the files copied in I added myself / admin group rights to the folder first, then ran the ps1. The powershell copy process to the Windows 10 public desktop does not have a GPO on it. The icon's properties target area requires editing to point to server resources for each department plus one or more switches. With 17 departments and different seed files and cell libraries plus custom fonts for engineering. There are a few files that the CADD program requires to obtain resources which we copy over. ![]() To copy fonts the powershell works for the 64-Bit environments and the batch file worked in 32-Bit. I will venture a guess it is to protect us from ourselves and malicious attacks. The field offices share a computer between five or more individuals and is the reasoning behind copying to the public desktop. Those folders, public desktop, fonts and program files (x86) for example, require a drag from the server to the current user's desktop then to the designated folders. Move to another PC with the Windows 10 October 2018 Update or higher. Windows 10 64-Bit by default does not allow us, even as admins using the domain admin account or locally, to copy directly from the server to certain folders. ![]()
